FMV-6266NU3/W + Vine 4.2 でのお遊び調査

dmidecode

ハードウェア情報等と見聞するが、ウィキペディアに拠ると SMBIOS(System Management BIOS)が BIOS内のデータ構造の配置(およびそのアクセスメソッド)に関する仕様だそうで、DMI(Desktop Management Interface)の一部だったそうな。
Distributed Management Task Force, Inc. に DMTF仕様が有る。

フルインストールしたのだがインストールされてない。パッケージは有るようだ。

1つずつ -t に番号を指定してみたが、取り消し線の項目は得られなかった。
面倒なので引数無しで記録。

EDD とは FDD の間違いではなかろうか…と思ったが、仕様書に拠ると Characteristics の項目はビットフィールド定義であり、それには EDD (Enhanced Disk Drive) Specification is supported とある。

Bit18: 「Boot From PC Card (PCMCIA)」は非表示なので出来ないらしい。
「USB Legacy is supported」も非表示。
LS-120 ? ... SuperDisk(120 MB?) の事だそうな。

USB Boot や PXE Boot を仕様書でどう定義しているのか判らないが、Ver. 2.3(1998-08-12)で Extension Byte 2 へ BIOS Boot Specification ビットが追加されており、そちらで判るようになっているのかも…
何れにしても USB Boot を選べる BIOS ではない。

Memory Controller はノースブリッジの 82443DX? 内に存在すると思うのだが、Integrated DRAM controller と呼ぶ物なんだろうか…

Maximum Memory Module Size が 64 MB なので、オンボード 32 MB に 64 MB 加えても 96 MB が最大の仕様なのだろう。
でも次の通り 128 MB を認識しているので計 160 MB になっている。

なお、ECC が Enabled になっていないのは、↓仕様の通り。
(注3) ECC機能無しのSDRAMメモリも拡張可。ただし、拡張スロットにECC機能無しSDRAM搭載時はECC機能はサポートされません。

勉強を兼ねて書けば DIMM: 基板の形状
SDRAM: メモリーチップの種類。システムバスに同期して動作するDRAM の事。
